DEI(B) Statement
Companion Animal Medical Project operates on the traditional territory of the Northern Paiute, the Wasco, and the Warm Springs tribes, who were the original stewards of this land. We strive to continue their tradition of honoring and celebrating the land that we use.
Members of CAMP recognize the historic and systemic harm animal welfare organizations have caused to marginalized groups, long creating and sustaining inequities. We understand recognition and reconciliation is only a fraction of what can be done to repair harm and will work tirelessly to elevate the voices and needs of the individuals we serve- people and their companions.
CAMP’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is the core of our mission and codified in our strategic planning. We actively recruit official and authoritative representation that reflects the community we live in and serve. This includes the unhoused, marginalized, and misunderstood. Through education, engagement and empowerment, we strive to ensure that all members of our staff, partners, and communities are seen, heard, and included.
